The hospital offers ambulance services on call. A well-equipped ambulance with trained staff is also available for transfers of patients to other health care centres in case of need.

    The casualty operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It also serves as Accident & Emergency (A&E) Department, Out-Patient Department (OPD) and as entry point for all the admission cases except for Antenatal Mothers in labour who go straight to labour ward for admission.

    The staff are well equipped to handle Accidents, Gunshots, Disaster Management, Poisoning, Malaria, Pneumonia, Typhoid, Non-Communicable and Communicable Diseases among others. The casualty handles 35 patients per day on average.

    Each shift is manned by clinical officers, nurses and support staffs. Medical officer also attend to patient during the day and are on call from 5 p.m. and over the weekends. Care is provided by a team of medical officers, gynaecologist, and nurses of different cadres and support staff. The staff undergo regular training to ensure their skills and knowledge are up to date.

    The OPD Services

    All OPD patients are issued with a patient's record number upon paying consultation fee. The nurse then takes the weight and notes vital signs before directing the patients to the clinicians.

    All OPD services are paid for beforehand. The services includes laboratory services, dressings, Maternal Child Health (MCH), X-Ray, Ultra - Sound and Drugs. Corporate clients are however billed for later payment.

    The hospital has a day care surgery unit inside the main theatre where all minor surgeries are carried out.

    Patients are treated and discharged in the shortest time possible. Our recovery room has ample space which has comfortable beds where our day care patients recuperate after surgery.

    Services provided also include Male Circumcision for both children (including adolescents) and adults. The procedure is done by well-trained medical staff.

    The clinic offers services to mothers and children. It is run by qualified nurses, midwives and support staff. The clinic is opened Monday to Friday between 8:00 am -3:30 pm.

    The Antenatal Clinic (ANC) offers Focused Ante-natal Care (FANC) to pregnant mothers. Mothers are also taught on danger signs in pregnancy, and when to attend clinic. The clinic also offers Family Planning services and products to mothers.

    The PMTCT services are offered by the ANC staff. It targets HIV positive mothers.

    The Child Welfare clinic (CWC) immunizes children against childhood diseases and monitors growth of children under five years.

    The hospital has paediatric clinic managed by qualified paediatricians who are child friendly and go out of their way to assess, carry out relevant diagnostic procedures and provide treatment plan that is evidenced based. Our paediatric nurses are also experienced to handle paediatric emergencies and are child friendly.

    The nurses are fully responsible and accountable for all aspects of child care and their stay. Through primary care, nurses conduct assessment, diagnosis, planning, treatment, evaluation and education of patients from admission to discharge.
